Booking Policy

For reservation under $500 USD, all charges must be paid in full at the time of booking. If your rental reservation totals more than $500 USD, a minimum deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be paid in full within 7 days before the pickup date and will be automatically charge on the day of pickup.
If SDR does not receive the remaining balance within the 7 days of the pick-up date, SDR reserves the right to cancel the rental reservation and charge a cancellation fee of $75.
There will be a mandatory $500 security deposit for each vehicle on the same day of the activity.
The security deposit will be deducted from the available balance on your credit card and might be held by your bank for up to [U1]45 days. After that, it will be automatically released in full unless we charge for any damages, traffic violations, or any other necessary charges against it.


Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made at least 10 days before the scheduled pick-up date will receive a full refund. If you cancel within 10 days, you may be entitled to a partial refund. A 25% cancellation fee will be applied to the reservation amount. All refunds will be credited back through the original payment method. The time frame in which the credit will be posted is base on your banking institution.


Payment Method

We accept the following methods of payment: VISA, Master Card, AMEX, Discover, and Debit Cards. We do not accept cash, cashiers check, money order, personal checks or company checks. 


Refund Policy

Whether you get a refund for canceling depends on when you cancel. For reservations under $500, any cancellation made 7 business day before the pickup date will be eligible for a full refund. Any cancellation made within 7 business day before the pick-up date, a 50% cancellation fee will be applied and only a partial refund will be issued.
For reservations total of more than $500, any cancellation made 7 business days before the pickup date will be eligible for a full refund. Age Limitation

You must be at least 21 years old with a valid California or your local state’s driver’s license. For all passengers, the California Vehicle code requires that passengers must be able to have their feet reach the footrest. We do not allow any child to be passengers on these vehicles.

Rental Units

All of our rental units come with unlimited miles for the duration of the rental period. Clients are encouraged to bring their own helmets for comfort and style and also as a safety requirement by the California Vehicle Code. If the client does not own a personal helmet, SDR may provide one pending inventory upon request. Helmets are required per CA regulations.
We do not provide storage. Storage are clients’ responsibilities. We are not responsible for the loss of any personal valuables or belongings. Please plan ahead to store your personal belongings.
All clients will be required to complete our brief online tutorial for safety and operation of our rental units. This tutorial will be available once booking is completed. The tutorial will cover all aspects of safe operation of our units, the clients’ responsibilities to maintain our units during use and to abide by local and state laws.
The customer is responsible for checking and reporting any mechanical failures immediately. Instructions and procedures for maintenance expense reimbursement are provided at pick-up. Customers may be held responsible for mechanical and/or body damage to our rental units due to negligence in rental units operation, abusive and/or reckless driving or failure to provide normal maintenance.

SDR reserves the right to substitute the rental units confirmed to rental client. Should SDR not be able to provide confirmed rental units a similar or better model will be provided to the client. This constitutes the maximum liability of SDR.

Please reference the Waiver Coverage section for more details. Violation of listed restrictions voids all VIP Theft & Damage Waivers and client will be held liable for damages.
Road Restriction: Rental street rental units are not allowed on gravel roads, beaches, logging or other non-public roads. Mexico Restriction: Clients cannot enter Mexico on a USA bike without written authorization or accompanied by an SDR Guide.
For a group booking that is paid by one credit or debit card, SDR will charge the remaining group balance to the same card used for payment at the time of booking. If clients would like to pay the remaining balance with another card or wire transfer, please contact us and make arrangements before the remaining balance due date.
By clicking ‘Book Reservation’ at checkout, you give SDR permission to charge your card(s). You also authorize SDR to re-initiate any charge(s) to your card(s) that is dishonored for any reason.


Pickup and Drop Off Policy


Clients will select a pick up time and date, base upon availability, when booking a reservation. Client will have a selection of drop off destinations to select from. If clients prefer a drop off location other then what is available to select from, SDR may accommodate other drop off locations per Clients request for an additional fee of $25. Return time of rental units is determined base on the duration of the rental from the schedule pickup time. An extension of the rental duration may be accommodated only if that time slot is available and this request must be communicated to SDR immediately. One rental day is based on a 24-hour rental period starting from the scheduled pick-up time. No refunds for early rental unit returns will be granted.


Late Return Policy

A $25 per hour penalty is assessed if the rental units is returned late from the scheduled drop off time. Please note: If the rental units is returned after SDR’s business hours, the client is responsible for the rental units until it is satisfactorily checked in by SDR even if the check-in process occurs on the next business day.
Please note: If you do not show up to pick up the vehicle at the specified pickup time, you will be considered a “No Show” and you will not be entitled to a refund and you will be charged the full rental price.


Changes In Reservation

Any reservation changes to the date, time, and/or drop off location within 10 days of the schedule pickup date and time, there will be a $25 admin fee applied to the reservation.
Changes made at least 11 days before the scheduled pick-up date will not incur any fees. SDR cannot be held liable for any unpleasant and unsuitable weather conditions. No refunds shall be granted for such conditions.

Peak season rental rate changes may be applied without notice during high-demand periods, typically in May, June, July, August, and September.


Insurance Policies Surcharges and Protection Plans

Mandatory California liability insurance is included in your rental booking; however, the liability insurance does not cover comprehensive, vandalism or theft damage. These additional coverage are available for additional fees. SDR offers a few options to upgrade your Liability or Damage Waiver. Please contact SDR for additional information. Please check with the insurance carrier for complete details of your coverage.
Please note that not all Theft and Damage Waivers and/or Supplemental Insurance options are available. Proof of coverage is required at time of pick up. All additional or supplemental insurance options are subject to the terms and conditions of the rental agreement contract. Additionally it does not include coverage for personal property, body/personal injury or damage as the result of renter’s negligence such as reckless or abusive driving, driving or use of our rental while intoxicated or under the influence of drugs. A Police Report is mandatory and required for all incidents, accidents or damages. Any and/or all damages to any of our rental units without a police report filed will be the full responsibility and 100% fault of the renter.
The Supplemental Liability Insurance provides supplemental liability insurance at limits excess of California minimum financial responsibility limits. Please be advised that Leaveatt is a secondary supplemental insurance to all other available insurance where permitted by California law.
